Nature created formative art in a remote location.
I wanted to go there.
There are not many places to see, but it is a nice place to get by a drive.
I think that it is good to eat lunches on sunny days.
This time I will introduce the place called Tatamigafuchi(畳ヶ淵).

Where is it?

Tatamigafuchi(畳ヶ淵) is about 40 minutes by car from Hagi-shi, it is in the back of Yadomi(弥富) district.
The address is Yatomi, Hagi-shi, Yamaguchi Prefecture.

When walking down the stairs from the parking lot, rocks like tortoise shells are regularly lined up on both sides of the river.

This is a hexagonal prism basalt made with the power of nature, it is also called Ishidatami(石畳).
It is geologically unique as well.
The river is about 2 kilometers and has been selected for Yamaguchi Prefecture Natural Hundred Elections.
Throughout the four seasons, cherry blossoms, fresh green, autumn leaves etc. are a great place for holiday.

The water of the river flows into the place where water is accumulated, and it becomes like a pond.
The next day after rain, the water level rises, it is dangerous.

To the end.

A Ishitatami that can not be thought of as naturally made.
I guess it was thought that a demon or a great giant stacked up in old times.
I think that you can feel the wonderfulness of nature in the flow of a quiet river.
